Round Table

For Round Table Road, we preserved some stunning red oaks in the backyard. At the top of a large slope, we built a putting green and a patio to capture a scenic view of Austin. We used limestone for the steps leading up from a beautiful broken patio, as well as for a pea gravel patio for a fire pit area, all designed to highlight the view.

Creating a lush feel, we incorporated a variety of Texas native plants, including mountain laurel, dwarf palmetto, and oak leaf hydrangea. We also used sprawling rosemary, blue mist, and leopard plant. Additionally, we planted a couple of beautiful loquats and, to fill a space without a big tree, a Lacebark Elm.

Adding to the ambiance, we installed a basalt fountain on the top patio. The trickling water really sets a peaceful mood for the setting.
